Hi Ladies, How are you today? Do you enjoy the warm weather and the joy of being on holiday? or do you celebrate the daily routine of working with nice colleagues? Today lesson comes from my morning workout.. Nobody could have bet on my dedication to morning workouts several weeks ago... As I told you I'm not a morning person but my mother's dream to run a half marathon has forced me to change my habits.. Well, let's back on track. Our workout progression implies to follow some series of three running sessions each week. Basically, you have one tough running session and then you "enjoy" two "lighter" sessions for the rest of the week.. Today was a 3min run + 1min walk 10 times... You know what, it's tough.. I was huffing and puffing even at 7 am... I don't even talk about the sweat and my lungs.. Well, the good news is .. I've survived.. and I've even thought.. "It will be so easy next time, I can't wait". It's exactly the same in our everyday life, sometimes the toughest part is the beginning.. the first step.. then, everything falls into place and you juste have to follow your momentum or your journey. I do not tell it's easy but it is DOABLE as long as you believe in you!! Today's lesson: Jump into your journey with the confidence that you will succeed no matter how long it takes. In the comment section, please write down your major goal and the very first step you will accomplish.. I'd be so happy to read your comments. Hi Ladies, How are you going today? I know that for most of us, Monday is one of the toughest day of the week... But for me, it's the most motivational day...the most funniest day because it refers to a possible fresh new start... each week. (that's also a reason why I keep myself accountable on a weekly basis, it provides me quick results and it sustains my momentum, my willingness and more importantly my inner sensation of peace) As interesting as this introduction is, I have to get back on track and talk about the real big deal of that post... You may be like me and you've heard a couple of thousands times that "working out on the morning or even better first thing in the morning will provide you tons of energy throughout the day"... Honestly, I thought for a long time that it was only B...S... I've worked out on the morning for a long time and my only activity was to sleep because I was exhausted. In fact, I was completely wrong... or somehow... I mean... Working out on the morning is definitely tough for me: I'm not a morning person, I tend to skip what I dislike and I truly need something very amazing to get up and be ready (i.e. going to the airport to fly to Las Vegas is a great example). Yet, my mum has decided to run a half marathon for her 60th birthday and she asks me for help... it means that we are running for three times a week since 5 weeks now as well as enhancing our daily activities level. Today, for the very first time of my life, I've felt the change... It took 5 weeks of constant effort, motivation, and dedication to feel the momentum going. After my shower, I was thinking of all the tasks I'm gonna do today and I was excited about it... I mean really excited to tackle those tasks and turn my goals into a reality. The lesson is: Do NOT get discouraged, it takes a while to feel the change but you deserve this feeling... Take it one step at a time and be consistent (even if it's just a small step). My schedule could easily become a mess when it's time to workout and I tend to forget that I DESERVE that selfish time with my self.
In fact, this morning I was doing anything except improving my inner confidence until I remember WHY I've consciously chosen to enter this 100 day challenge. June 11th: workout done, mood over the top... Never Forget How Wonderful You Are!! Hello everyone!!
Today is a very special day.. I'm not a huge fan of classic commitment.. I mean I'm not crazy about several layers of accountability and the guilty feeling you have when you realize that you are not "at the very top of your your health like the others".. So I decided to be accountable only to YOU.. dear kind reader... For the next 100 days, I will share with you how I feel.. my little victories and my biggest accomplishments June 10th 2013: - Workout: check (cardio party 3) - Emotion: 15/20 (massive headache) - mastering my schedule: ongoing.. |
